Life…

Well, it has been crazy around here to say the least. You finally think things are going to start looking up, when you find yourself kissing a brick wall. Yeah, I know some of you out there can identify with that statement. That happened to yours truly this week. I admit I didn’t take the news that well. In fact, I turned into a bitch. We all fall short and become a bad version of ourselves from time to time. Either we can find our way out of the funk or we can wallow in it. Well, I for one am not going to let this bump in the road keep me from my ultimate goal/dream. With that being said…They are sending me to a hand surgeon. It couldn’t happen at a worse time. I’ve decided to not dwell on the negativity of the situation. I have always believed things happen for a reason. We may not understand the reason but then again, maybe we aren’t meant to know why things happen. The ultimate test is how we respond to such things. Like I said before we can wallow in self-pity or we can get up, dust ourselves off, and keep moving forward. As we all know life isn’t fair. She doesn’t play nicely and will knock us down, trying to keep us there if we let her.

A couple years ago my Dad passed away unexpectedly, while I was in the beginning of writing Cursed or Blessed. I did push my writing aside for a little bit because I was mad at the world. I was so mad that I couldn’t even think about writing anything. Then, one day I got my writing out and used that to help me get through a tragic time in my life.

Enough of the sad stories. Onto news about my books…

Not everything was bad this week. I started on revisions for Dancing With A Stranger. My book cover is almost done! I hope to be revealing it here in the next couple of weeks. Which leads me to my really big news of the week. I am going to be doing a book signing event the first of May with another local author. I’m super excited! I’m hoping if I do need surgery, I can put it on hold until after the book signing event. I’m right handed and of course it’s my right hand. Go figure. If I can’t put it on hold, it can be done right away and recovery will be a couple weeks at the most. I’m really hoping for the first option.

Since I’m doing revisions right now, Dancing With Darkness has been set aside until after they are finished. I have other great things I’m trying to get done for next year. I need to get more information before I can say anything.

Thanks for reading! Good Night Everyone!
