Happy Pride Month! It’s your right to support it or not. You may disagree, but be respectful. Respect is one word with so much power behind it. Respect goes a lot farther than hate. If you want respect, you need to give respect.
Everyone has the right to love whoever they want to love. Who are we to tell people they can’t be someone that makes them happy? You wouldn’t want someone to walk up to you on the street or while enjoying a wonderful dinner and start yelling in your face that you can’t be with your significant other. So, what gives you the right to do that to someone else? If you think about it…Nothing. Nothing gives another person the right to walk up to strangers and tell them they can’t be with their significant other.
When did we become a society that forces our beliefs on everyone else? Everyone has the right and freedom to love whoever makes them happy. It’s plain and simple.
