Writing projects…

I have so many stories going on in my mind right now. It’s hard to keep them straight. Well, Dancing With A Stranger has been turned into a series. It’s probably going to be three books in the set. I am really excited about writing my first series. I was struggling with the storyline there for a few months and then, one day it came to me out of nowhere. There are going to be lots of twists in the first book. I still plan on launching the book around February next year. I am about to finish writing chapter 15 either tonight or tomorrow. The book cover for this book is in the works as well. It’s going to be amazing! I can’t wait to see it when it’s finished. I can’t wait for this book to come out.

While getting the series lined out and what I want each book to contain, I was confronted by my husband about my book that is out now. He finished reading it the other and told me he was left hanging. He proceeded to tell me he was really getting into the story and then it ended. He was a little irritated with me over it. I couldn’t help it, but I started giggling the more he went on about the book. After he was done, he actually gave me a great idea. I didn’t even hesitate in the decision. So, with that being said…

Cursed or Blessed will have a Sequel. I won’t write that one until I am done with the series I am writing now. I don’t want to start another project before I am finished with the one I am writing now. Lots of exciting things going on right now. Well, I need to get to finish writing chapter 15.

Have a great evening! Thanks for reading!

Fell off again…

Well, I really fell off the wagon this time. I distinctly remember saying I was going to do better, not the opposite. Here, I am on the opposite side of what I had previously said. Let’s try this again…I’m going to keep up with my blog better than, what I have been doing. What has been going on since my last blog…Well, the drivers here where I live are still the most non-driving people I’ve ever seen. Nothing has changed there. Most of them still believe the rules don’t pertain to them and they can drive, however their little hearts desire. Enough about them and their lack of driving skills.

Now, for my writing. I had a huge breakthrough about where this storyline is going. It went completely away from where I was going with it, and honestly I’m okay with where it’s going. It was going to be a stand alone book at first but now it’s going to be a series. So, I’m writing my first series! I am pretty excited about it. I’ve also read that series do better than stand alone books too. I mean they do better for self-published authors. Also, after talking with my hubby this afternoon after work, he gave me a great idea for a sequel. So, with that being said, there might be a sequel to Cursed or Blessed. I am throwing the idea around, but first I need to finish the storyline I’m writing on now.

That has been my past few days. I could go on about other things, but I won’t here. I’m going to end it here before I talk about something that could find me in trouble.

Have a great night! Thanks for reading!

Weekend…

Well, the weekend hasn’t been too bad. My youngest son came home from college for the weekend. So, I am super happy about that. Went to the home football game last night, to watch him help on the sidelines. He really seemed to enjoy it. As for me…The football mom in me didn’t take long to come out again. My family and friends that know me, know exactly the person I am talking about. I went to to take a picture of my son, when this lady walked right in front of me. Not once but twice! (Football Mom showed up to take care of things or get me thrown out.) I screamed, “Will you land somewhere!” I didn’t care where she landed as long as she stopped, walking in front of me each time I had my phone up to take a picture. My husband looked at me in disbelief. He of all people should know me better than anyone…Am I right? So, why he was surprised is beyond me. I personally have no problem with football mom. That was Friday night, now onto Saturday!

I had to work today, and I swear Friday the 13th followed me into today at work. I think I repeated myself at least a dozen times. I felt like I had traveled back in time to when my kids were little, telling them “No” a bazillion times. On top of that, I felt like crap again. Not a good mixture, football mom lingering around having to repeat herself numerous times, and feeling bad. Luckily, I made it through my shift. I went home and took some allergy medicine, which seemed to help for the most part. Well, I’m going to end it here we are getting ready to watch John Wick 3.

Have a great night! Thanks for reading!

Writing my new book…

I thought I would give you all a rest from me talking about the lunatics on the road here where I live. So, I’m going to talk about my new book Dancing With a Stranger. I’m not going to give any spoilers yet because some of the edits haven’t been fixed yet. If I put some of it on here before edits and revisions, it would be bad. Most of you would be like What the Hell, she can’t write! First drafts are supposed to be crappy in all honesty. We aren’t supposed to edit while we are writing it. Get it written, then fix the things that are wrong. For example…My debt novel Cursed or Blessed had four chapters cut from it in revisions. They weren’t important to the story, so they had to go. I had no problem with cutting them from the book, in fact it was my idea to cut them. You have to be willing to make drastic decisions like that about your work. I already know, I am going to be cutting some of the chapters from this new book.

Speaking of my new book…I was writing last night, when this character just popped up out of nowhere. I was like where the hell did you come from? He just waltzed on in the story, so I had to come up with a name for him and profile. So, he has a name and going to be a permanent fixture in the story. I’m going to pull the mean card and not tell you his name. That way you will be curious and buy the book when it’s released. I know I’m a bitch….lol

Have a great night! Thanks for reading!

I couldn’t make this up…

I swear, I could write a whole book on how bad the driving is in this city. I was pulling out of our local grocery store parking lot, when a gentleman decides to turn in front of me to pull into a popular franchise restaurant. I am about to proceed down the road, when another driver decides to dart out in front of me from the left parking lot to go over into the same restaurant. For one people, IT’S NOT GOING ANYWHERE! You can wait till the person passes by to get over to your precious restaurant. It’s not like it’s going to vanish into thin air in less than five seconds! You want to know the really sad part, I’m a writer and couldn’t make this shit up if I tried. If you are that hungry, then you should’ve ate breakfast or lunch, whichever one they eat.

Okay, enough about the crazies on the road. My story is going slow again. I just need to get my butt in gear and get it written. I need an office. I can go in there close the door and write away. I don’t drink that much, but tonight looks like a Fuzzy Navel night. Have some drink and write. Sounds like my kind of night. Well, I think I’m going to cut this blog short tonight and go fix my drink. Good thing I don’t have to get up early in the morning, so I can stay up late writing if I need too.

Enjoy the rest of your night! Thanks for reading!

Crazy day…

This hasn’t been a bad day by any means. Just a crazy one. I think Friday the 13th is trying to show up earlier than it’s supposed to be here. I can not emphasize enough that I live in a city full of NON-DRIVING fools. Either they are driving way below the speed limit, or driving down the road like their ass is on fire, trying to put that fire out by speeding. Let me make this perfectly clear…Your Ass is NOT on fire, therefore you don’t have to drive 20 MPH over the speed limit. If your ass is on fire, then maybe you shouldn’t have eaten Mexican for lunch, then you wouldn’t be flying down the road to find a restaurant with a nice bathroom. I know what you are thinking any bathroom would do at that point. Any bathroom is not okay at all. Some people would probably go into a public bathroom wearing a hazmat suit, if they could get away with it. You know who you are… Okay, I know the last few sentences are irrelevant, but you get the picture.

One of our regular customers tried to have me arrested today by the officer that was there doing something about Child safety. She asked me why there was a police officer in the store today. I told her he was there for her and started laughing. She looked at me and laughed, then turned around and yelled…”Will you please come arrest this woman for harassing me?” The look on the officer’s face was priceless. His mouth fell open, looking back and forth between the both of us, trying to decide if she was serious or not. Other associates that were next to him busted out laughing. He probably thought we had all lost our minds. Which honestly we probably have at one point or another. Is that necessarily a bad thing? Hey, you need at least a few people you know that march to their own drummer, whichever drummer that may be. All this while running on 4.5 hours sleep. Go Me!

Have a great evening! Thanks for reading!

Falling off the blog wagon…

Didn’t I say the other day I was going to do better? Then, I completely fell off the wagon. Again, my apologies for not keeping up with my blog. Friday started out okay until about 11 a.m, then it went to crap. I got to feeling bad again. It hit me out of nowhere. I came home fixed me some soup, then curled up and slept for almost two hours. I had to feel better, me and my oldest were going to go see his little brother at college. My oldest doesn’t drive so that left me to do all the driving. My oldest is high-functioning Autistic with a heart of gold. Saturday morning I woke up feeling a little better, so I loaded up my vehicle and we were off to see my youngest son. I made pretty good time driving the 4 1/2 hours away. We went to Buffalo Wild Wings for boneless wings and COLLEGE Football! The screen in front of me was playing the Wisconsin vs Central Michigan game. OMG the game wasn’t even a game it was an ass-whoopin. So bad, after a little while it was just sad to watch. We did enjoy the other games and ate way too many boneless wings.

Which brings me to what we did later on last night. I let my 18-year-old talk me into going and seeing IT 2. OMG! What the hell was I thinking? I think I watched half the movie with my eyes covered by my hands or cardigan. During some of the scary parts, I’d start to lower my hands, and my youngest would put his hand behind mine to keep my hands up. He looks after his mom. That or didn’t want to be responsible for his mom having a heart attack during the movie. I don’t do well with scary movies, I avoid them at all costs. I’m not going to give any spoilers, but this one thing…It’s scarier than the first one! I won’t tell you, how many times I woke up last night, looking around the hotel room. Let’s just say, I didn’t get much sleep last night.

I had a great weekend with my boys. I think they both enjoyed spending time with me and probably laughing at me trying to crawl inside my cardigan during the movie. Have a great night and a great week too. Thanks for reading!

Enough is Enough…

I apologize for not blogging yesterday. I was doing so good there for a while, and fell off the damn horse last night. I got tired after, trying to work on my new book Dancing With A Stranger.

I won’t go into the whole story, but I’ve reached my limit. It has been something that has bothered me for a long time now, and I finally did something about it. Some people are brought into our lives as blessings or lessons. I’m sure most of you know exactly what I am talking about. It is our job to determine which ones stay and which ones go. Some may be family, friends, or acquaintances. If they are blessings, then treasure them. Lessons should be escorted to the door the minute you find out they are most definitely a lesson. Lessons do not need to linger around for long. They bring added stress that is not needed. Yeah, we feel like idiots for letting those kind of people in our lives longer than we should have let them. It stings for a little bit, but then we need to pick ourselves up and keep moving forward. As we get older our tolerance for drama becomes super thin. We realize life is too short to deal with such pettiness.

Enough of the life lesson for now. Let’s talk about my new book for a second. I was hoping to be further along in it by now but life happens. What can you do except to roll with the punches life throws at you. After I get done blogging, I am going to work on my book in hopes of making more progress on replacing the missing 15 pages. My main character Londyn is finding out the hard way not everyone has our best interests at heart, including family members. I need to go get some writing done.

Have a great evening! Thanks for reading!

How do you relieve stress…

I’ve had my fair share of stress lately. And yes, my mouth has gotten me in trouble numerous times because of it. If my mouth hasn’t got me in trouble my face has been more than happy to pick up the slack. My husband has told me plenty that I can’t hide my emotions. Whatever I am thinking, usually flashes like a big neon sign. Good thing, I don’t know how to play Poker that well. I would suck at it.

Which brings me to this topic…How do you relieve stress in your life? Sure, we could do what we all dream about doing. If the stress is caused by a person we could go punch them in the face, and relieve the stress that way. If you say you would never do that, then you are LYING! We’ve all dreamt of doing that at one point or another in our lives. Yelling at them would be another way.

I write, when I am stressed out. I love to write, and it makes me happy. Some people cook or bake, exercise(which I need to do, I’m not going to lie), meditate( do people even do this anymore, I mean seriously). Well, my mind went completely blank, when I got off topic. I can hear my daughter now yelling…”Squirrel Brain” at me, then telling me to reel it in. I told her some writers have a tendency to be a little scattered brained. There is a lot in there going on besides every day stuff. Sorry, about the off topic ramble. We all deal with stress in our own way, which isn’t wrong or right. What works best for the person is the most important thing.

Have a great evening! Thanks for reading!

Typical Monday…

Why do Mondays have to be complete crap? It didn’t matter if it was a holiday because it was still a Monday. Again, if you are going to be grumpy, then stay HOME! Don’t take your stress out on people, when they are trying to be helpful. You should be glad they took the extra time, trying to explain something to you. Unfortunately, some people don’t want help, and will go out of their way to spread their misery around. Those people are just plain toxic, and there is nothing anyone can do to make them happy. On a happier note before I talk about my writing, I saw my favorite barista today! I definitely needed the amazing drink he made me today.

As for my writing…I’m making better progress on the 15 pages I had to replace because the original ones disappeared. As I talked about earlier in another blog about them being utter crap. I am off tomorrow YAY!!! I will be writing more tomorrow. I might actually post a sneak peek of Dancing With A Stranger on here. I haven’t fully decided yet. I more than likely will. Well, I’m going to try and write a little bit before I need to head to bed. I have to get up before the chickens in the morning to take my oldest son to work.

Again, thank you for reading my blogs. Have a great night! And if someone makes you mad, simply put them in a book.
